RDC launched in 2012 with a clear goal: to become the leading data center service provider in the Egyptian market. We built our operations on the strong foundations of our parent company, Raya Information Technology, operating since 1998. Over the past decade, we’ve continuously expanded our services and footprint through investment in cutting-edge infrastructure and top-tier technical talent.

Raya Data Center is a subsidiary of Raya Information Technology, a key business line within Raya Holding for Financial Investments.
Founded in 1999 and listed on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) since 2005, Raya Holding manages 11 diverse business lines. These include information technology, contact center services, smart buildings, consumer electronics, food and beverage, land transport, and e-payments. The group grew its business volume from EGP 88 million in 1999 to over EGP 31.3 billion in 2023.
Raya Holding operates across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Poland, and Nigeria, with a workforce of over 18,000 professionals. This corporate backing gives Raya Data Center the financial strength and institutional credibility that few data center operators can match.

Raya Data Center currently operates state-of-the-art facilities across Greater Cairo, including our flagship data center in 6th of October City, as well as in Maadi Technology District and New Cairo. In late 2023, we expanded our regional footprint by launching Raya Cloud operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
In December 2024, Raya Holding announced a $25 million investment, backed by Africa50, to construct a new Tier III-certified Greenfield data center in Egypt. Our new facility will be built in alignment with the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through energy-efficient and eco-responsible design. Construction began in early 2025, with RDC’s market valuation projected to exceed EGP 2.2 billion upon completion.
